About SVGL

Message from the President:

As we begin the 2011 golf season, it is exciting to see all the existing members, new members, guests, and friends. SVGL is a group formed for fellow golfers to meet, compete, and enjoy each others company on and off the course. Whether you are playing for score, money, or bragging rights, it's great to see fellow golfers smile and/or frown at the end of the round because we all have a desire to win.

As we move into 2011, there are changes to the points system to fire the competitive spirit within. We have made changes to the point system allowing more points to be earned to include 3 major tournaments where points are tripled and to award first place points to members with perfect attendance.

As many of you know, operating a golf club is a tireless job ensuring that tournaments are scheduled, lineups are created, players are checked in, tournament fees are collected and paid, etcand especially ensuring that each member is happy. As your officers, we are soliciting your service so that each tournament runs smoothly. Your participation is important to ensure that the group continues to run efficiently. Assistance with scoring, being a starter, collecting fees, etcare ways that we can ensure the success of each tournament. Remember that this is your club and your assistance, suggestions, and ideas can make this a better club!
